Olympia Councilmember and Department of Corrections Equity and Social Justice Consultant Yến Huỳnh is an accredited Certified Diversity Executive skilled at managing large-scale diversity initiatives for organizational equity and inclusivity.
Huỳnh is an Equity and Social Justice Consultant at the Washington State Department of Corrections, working to enhance organizational culture and processes, with the goal of increasing re-entry and reducing recidivism. She is also a member of the Olympia City Council. Prior to this, she was at the Washington State Office of Minority and Women's Business Enterprises, where she worked to increase equity in public spending with small minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses in the state. Huỳnh is a proud graduate of The Evergreen State College where she earned her Master’s in Public Administration with an emphasis in Public Policy. She is an accredited Certified Diversity Executive skilled at managing large-scale diversity initiatives for organizational equity and inclusivity. She enjoys trying new recipes, exploring neighborhoods, and making memories with her family.
