Susan Gates

With almost 20 years of public and private business experience, Susan brings depth of experience and creativity to The WMarketplace. As Sales Director with The Specialty Coffee Association, Susan grew digital and print advertising sales and delivered high-touch sponsorships while growing sales and expanding her account base.

Prior to her work in the non-profit sector, Susan managed an international sales team for DaVinci Gourmet through a successful merger with Kerry Foods and subsequently managed national accounts for Kerry’s branded beverage sector. Working with a small food products manufacturer allowed Susan to influence every part of sales process and to drive much of the marketing strategy with her international partners.

Working for the US Government for eight years as a Senior International Trade Specialist, Susan guided companies toward expanded international presence, advised senior government officials on trade policy issues and created private/public partnerships.

Susan’s passion for working for gender balance is deeply-rooted in the desire to accelerate women’s economic, political and health parity. Since leading the Women in Public and International Affairs group at Columbia University, Susan has mentored female colleagues and worked to support them professionally and personally.
