Amanda DuBois

Early in her career, Amanda DuBois left a traditional, male-dominated law firm to start her own practice at a time when it was unheard of for women to do so. Leading with values rather than hierarchy, she founded DuBois Levias Law Group, now one of Washington State’s longest-standing woman-owned law firms and rated one of the state’s best workplaces for two years running. In this keynote, Amanda will trace her journey as a business owner for 30 years and examine the challenges facing women business owners and the importance of community service, creativity, and thinking outside the box. Amanda will explain how she does this in her firm by actively recruiting and hiring an often-overlooked pool of qualified, hardworking candidates- people who have been impacted by incarceration. Amanda will invite participants to rethink talent pipelines and recognize the benefits of adding impacted individuals to their workplaces.
