Alice Barney has been with the Washington Employment Security Department (ESD) for over 10 years, and has been with the WOTC/Federal Bonding unit for over 5 years. On January 1, 2022 she became the Washington State Coordinator for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) and Federal Bonding, a tax incentive for employers to hire certain hard-to-place job seekers. WOTC aims to help individuals become economically self-sufficient and to reward employers who give them a chance.
